Culture and Language Learning

A series of conferences and ensuing research on the relationship between language and culture learning in foreign language classrooms at the secondary and post-secondary level led to the development of a number of publications, a workshop series for teachers and an annual summer institute focused on integrating culture learning in the language classroom. Additionally, this work provided the foundation for the development of the Maximizing Study Abroad series of guidebooks for students, program professionals, and language instructors on strategies for language and culture learning and use.
