Prior to this lesson, the students have been exposed to use the present tense. In third grade, the students start using the past tense in first and second person of singular and plural. They will be exposed to learn different connectors to sequence the different parts of a writing and/or telling. The students should have mastered different vocabulary that they will review in this lesson such as parts of the body. The Chinese New Year is one of the most important aspects of China, our main theme in the Social Studies curriculum.
