Fredricka L. Stoller is an Associate Professor at Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona, where she teaches in the MA-TESL and Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics programs. She is co-author of Teaching and Researching Reading (with W. Grabe, Longman, 2002), co-editor of A Handbook for Language Program Administrators (with M. A. Christison, Alta Book Center, 1997), and co-author of two reading textbooks: Javier Arrives in the U.S.: A Text for Developing Readers (with N. Rosen, Pearson/Longman, 1994), Changing Generations: A Story for Developing Reading Skills (with N. Rosen, Pearson/Longman, 2000). Areas of interest include content-based instruction, teacher training, reading, methodology, curriculum design, and materials development. She has served TESOL in many different ways over the last 15 years.
